Aspire -- Cloud Chasing Without The Hassle!

Many experienced vapers have been building their own coils that produce huge vapor clouds, often deemed "cloud chasing". They are using several variable voltage mods, like an iTaste MVP 20W mod or God180 mod, that are capable of producing 20 watts up to 180 watts! Cloud chasers often take their time engineering several different types of coils with kanthal wire and organic Japanese cotton. Many non-experienced vapers have been screaming that they want to get the same vapor production as cloud chasers, but do not want to spend the time or money building their own coils.

Now they can! Aspire has produced a new CF Sub Ohm battery that is capable of producing huge vapor production. This 2000mAh battery is designed as a midpoint between a mechanical mod and an eGo styled battery. The beautiful Aspire CF Sub Ω is an excellent option for those looking to experiment with sub-ohm coils, without being required to learn all the math behind the concept.  This device operates similarly to an eGo battery with some key differences and features.

The atomizer connection on the battery is both 510 and eGo threaded, but unlike most eGo batteries it features a spring-loaded positive pin to ensure connectivity with any tank or atomizer attached to it.

It also features a large metal button at the top of the battery that sits flush with the device like an eGo battery, and exhibits a sleek carbon fiber finish around the body. Unlike an eGo battery, it only fires resistances of 0.3 - 1.0Ω and contains a 2000mAh unregulated internal battery capable of a maximum current draw of up to 40A. The device is charged via a standard USB charger. For safety there are 6 small vent holes.

The Aspire CF Sub Ω has a total length of 114.5mm and a diameter of 22mm, just like a standard 18650 mechanical mod, so most rebuildables and tanks designed for 18650 mods will sit flush on top of this battery.

The Aspire CF Sub Ohm battery coupled with the Aspire Atlantis Tank Kit is one of the best electronic cigarettes on the market today!  The Aspire Atlantis is an excellent option for both beginning and advanced vapers alike. The tank uses a standard 510 threaded connection, and is constructed from superior-quality stainless steel and glass.

The Aspire Atlantis features adjustable airflow options offering the medium mouth-to-lung style hit to a much larger, RDA-style lung hit option. The tank has a capacity of approximately 2mL, so those looking for clouds without having to drip can go quite some time between refills. It also uses a proprietary anti-leak design.

The Atlantis BVC coils use a patented technology, and are available only in a sub-ohm format, between 0.5Ω, using American-made Kanthal wire. These are recommended to be operated between 20-30W on a variable wattage device or on a mechanical device.

With large intake holes on the coil, the BVC is designed for use for high-VG e-liquids, and wicks using a specially designed ceramic paper between organic cotton.  There is also a stainless steel screen on top of the wicking material which prevents liquid from spitting into the airflow tube.

So if you are looking for a top shelf e-cig at an affordable price without the hassle of building your own coils, look no further than the Aspire products at BlackMesaVapors.com. You won't be disappointed!

Vaper -- A person who vapes. A smoker, smokes. A Vaper, vapes.

Vapeology – The Terms for E Cig, Vape and E Liquid lingo.

Vapor Cigarette – A term used to refer to an electronic cigarette. This term is used commonly due to the water vapor that is exhaled when using an e-cig.

Vapor Production – Typically associated with Juices. Indicates how much vapor is produced using an average inhale of an e-cigarette.

Variable Voltage (VV) -- Variable Voltage lets you control how many volts your device will produce. Usually with a variable voltage e-cig, you’ll be able to dial in the voltage by a click of a button or sequence.
Variable Wattage (VW) -- Variable Wattage lets you control how many watts your device will produce. This will allow you to set it and forget it, no matter what atomizer or cartomizer you use with the device.

Vegetable Glycerol or Vegetable Glycerin (Abbreviated as VG) – An ingredient found in many brands of E-Juice. This is one of the ingredients used that when heated will produce vapor that can be inhaled. Typically, VG produces more vapor than its PG counterpart but provides less flavor and Throat Hit. Some users who are allergic to Propylene Glycol must use 100% VG Juices.

Vent Holes – Tiny perforations at the bottom of an E Cig, for releasing gasses.

VG - Abbreviation for Vegetable Glycerol or Vegetable Glycerin.

Voltage – The Volts are the flow of current from the E Cig Battery to the Atty / Carto / Coil.

VV – Acronym for Variable Voltage. A VV E Cig will have at least one button or dial to tune the voltage setting of the E Cig.

VW – Acronym for Variable Wattage. Newer Mod E Cigs are VW. Once setting the Watts, the E Cig device will automatically read the Atty or Carto Coil Resistance and set the Voltage accordingly. Remember: Watts = Voltage squared divided by Resistance.

W

Watts – Watts = Voltage squared divided by Resistance; Total Power.
Wick – A narrow piece of poly string that is inside of many styles of atomizers that allows easier delivery of Juice to the heating element.

DCT Cartomizer Troubleshooting

Although DCT tanks are my personal favorite tank system, there is sometimes a small learning curve for new vapers associated with its use. Below I discuss a few troubleshooting tips to help you become more familiar with your DCT tank system. Upon purchasing your new DCT Starter Kit, you should have received instructions labeled DCT Tank Filling Instructions. You should follow these instructions precisely when filling your new DCT cartomizer tank.

Issue: Burnt taste.

Cause(s): The cartomizer was not filled/primed correctly or the DCT tank was vaped on empty resulting in the filler material in the cartomizer around the heating element  to become burnt.

Fix: Sometimes, depending on how burnt the cartomizer has become, you can prime more Eliquid into the cartomizer to resolve this issue.  Other times, the cartomizer is too burnt and should simply be replaced. Note: Remove white rubber cartomizer cap before using the new cartomizer. This cap is only used when storing the cartomizer.
___

Issue: Gurgling sound when I draw on my DCT tank in which sometimes Eliquid comes though the mouth piece or Eliquid leaks onto my battery. The cartomizer is flooded which simply means the cartomizer has too much Eliquid in the filler material.

Cause(s): A flooded cartomizer can be the result of over priming your cartomizer, drawing too hard on the DCT tank, dripping Eliquid down the center hole around the heating element of the cartomizer, or the Eliquid has become too thin due to prolonged exposure to sunlight or overheating of the Eliquid (usually occurs in variable voltage MODS when used at higher voltages).

Fix: To fix a flooded cartomizer, you should remove the DCT tank from the battery. Place the threaded end of the DCT tank (bottom of the cartomizer) into a paper towel. Blow through the drip tip a few times to remove the excess Eliquid from the cartomizer. Then wipe the threads clean and dry. Now screw the DCT tank to the battery. Press the LED activation button a couple times for about two seconds. This will burn off excess Eliquid in the cartomizer. At this point, you should be able to refill your DCT tank with Eliquid and begin vaping. Note: You should not repeat the priming step in your original DCT Tank Filling Instructions. Cartomizers typically only need primed upon initial use.

If your Eliquid has become too thin due to overheating, you should set the e-cig in a cool place for a few minutes. If using a MOD, you should decrease the voltage to prevent overheating of the Eliquid.
___

Issue: I hear a popping sound when I press the LED activation button on my battery.

Cause(s): After your e-cig has been sitting awhile, the Eliquid is cool and has totally saturated the filler material around the heating element . When the LED activation button is pressed, the heating element heats up very quickly and vaporizes the cool Eliquid causing popping sounds. As you continue to vape, the Eliquid around the coils is warm and does not pop as often.

Fix: This is normal. No fix is necessary.
___

Issue: When using a MOD, like the ZMax, SID, or Lavatube, my Eliquid tastes burnt.

Cause(s): Incorrect cartomizer used or the voltage/wattage setting on your MOD may be set too high.

Fix: First, be sure you are using the correct cartomizer. Black Mesa Vapors offers a few different resistances in cartomizers: 1.5 ohm (standard), 2.0 ohm, 2.5 ohm, and 3.0 ohm.

*Recommended Resistance (DCT):
Standard eGo battery (3.7v)----1.5 ohms
Variable Voltage Mods (5.0v)----2.0 ohms
Variable Voltage Mods (6.0v)----2.5 ohms
Variable Voltage Mods (7.0v)----3.0 ohms

Second, make sure the current voltage/wattage setting is set up properly. You may need to decrease the voltage (v) or wattage (w) on your MOD.
